Disaster Mental Health

 

Preparedness, Response and Recovery

 

I provide Psychological First Aid and management of critical incidents to corporations, the community and agencies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Incidents might include: Acts of violence such as bank robbery, homicide, violence in the workplace, physical assault and personal injury, suicide, death due to illness/accident, workplace accident, job loss/reorganization including lay-offs, downsizing, termination, business closure, community violence, acts of terrorism, impact of natural disasters including earthquake, fire and mudslides.

 

I also teach and consult to mental health clinicians interested in providing disaster mental health interventions. And finally, I am a frequent media commentator on how to work with the community (children and adults) in the wake of a disaster.
